In the last years Fermax has launched a huge variety of VDS amplifiers in order to cover the necessities of our different models at different function and cost levels.
The evolution of our models has been quick in a very short period.
This huge variety brings in contrast the logistic and application confusion for the installers as it is not always trivial to recognize with which kind of amplifier they are dealing: model (Kit or Building), available functions, versions,…
The target of this article is to clarify the situation with the current and previous existing VDS amplifiers.
Firstly let´s introduce some concepts that will be referred below at cards and tables to understand the main functions of the different models:
Find below a description card for each one of the VDS amplifiers and a summary table:
Below you will find a summary table showing the above described amplifier characteristics:
As well we would like to point out that our current amplifiers include our most recent improvements in the area of watertight and video quality.
Regarding to the video quality improvement, we are fitting a new camera.
This new camera has a better video quality performance, especially at low lighting conditions (night,…).
The new and old camera can be distinguished physically. See below pictures (Note that in the old camera the cone around the lens is bigger and deeper).
With regards to the watertight to avoid water intrusion, the current amplifiers include additional closure gaskets (See below pictures).
On the one hand we are fitting a water repellent fabric behind the aluminum grille of the amplifier, allowing the pass of the sound, but not the water.
On the other hand it is fitted internally as well a rectangular closure gasket, between the housing and the loudspeaker of the amplifier in order to ensure watertight.
