BuildingsNY is a trade show that is unique in bringing together all kinds of products and services for building construction and maintenance, renovation and restoration. These features make it attractive to Fermax, a faithful participant over the years, presenting products designed both for new works and replacement. But whereas Fermax had achieved interesting results in previous editions, it was this year that the New York event (held from 19th-20th March) turned out to be a resounding success. The reason? The presence at the fair of its latest technological features, Lynx and Smile.

Lynx and Smile are the state-of-the-art, high-performance technological developments Fermax has launched. Rollout began some months ago in the Asian market, with excellent uptake by security integrators and a very positive response from end users. Smile is a colour video entry monitor, with a 7” or 3,5” screen, which stands out for its simplicity and capacities. Lynx, in turn, is the maximum expression of the Fermax TCP/IP system. The VIVO monitor available for this system is a smart and sophisticated terminal whose minimalist aesthetic combines with its capacity to become the security and communications centre for any home; a product in line with the requirements of the smart buildings and cities of the future.

This visit to New York confirmed that the Spanish brand’s inroads into the US market are now firmly established, thanks to major products such as Vivo. In fact, the veteran manufacturer recently confirmed that this video entry monitor with IP technology, designed and produced by Fermax, will be part of one of the city's emblematic projects, One57. This is a 90-storey skyscraper in Midtown Manhattan, housing 135 apartments and a hotel with 210 rooms, destined to become one of the most luxurious living spaces in NY, with views over Central Park and the best amenities and services for its users, including this very special terminal.
