This document explains how to configure Access Control software to use a finger print reader with a keypad. Users will have to insert the finger print and then their code to open the door.

Required material & software:

Access Control Devices Configuration:

  • Ref.6936 Skyline Finger Print reader:

  • Ref.4420 Door Controller:

  • Ref.4410 AC+ Central Unit:

Singular Key Configuration:

First step is to create a new installation, add a section and detect the reader/s. It is mandatory to initialize them. After that, configure the reader/s with the following parameters:

  • Security Mode. Mandatory to use Finger Print + Keypad code to open the door.
  • Code length à 4 or 6 digits.
  • Protocol --> Wiegand.

NOTE: If Security Mode is not selected, users will be able to open the door only using the Keypad code. Security mode has to be selected to open the door using code + finger print.

Next step is to create the Master User and then rest of the users. These users have to be created with finger print and keypad code, as the following images.

Now all users except the master have to be sent to the readers selecting and dragging the users to the reader. Finally, synchronize all the data.

Singular Key configuration is done. Now it is time to configure AC+ Server and AC+ Access. After creating an AC+ installation, we will come back to Singular Key to export the users from SK to AC+.

AC+ Server Configuration:

Before starting with the configuration, it is important to set the COM port properties in Windows Device Manager:

  • 38400, 8, None, 1, None.

First of all, in AC+ Server it is mandatory to set the same code length as in Singular Key.

Create a new installation, associate with the COM port and create the doors (in case that wished, also you can create time tables and zones). To create our Finger Print + Keypad door, proceed as following:

Next step is to come back to Singular Key and send the normal users to AC+ (Select all Users except the Master User). Please check the following picture:

Once all the users were exported to AC+, it is mandatory to send all information to the Central Unit in AC+ Server:

Open AC+ Access. Doors and users should appear:

NOW IT IS REQUESTED TO RESET THE CENTRAL UNIT. SWITCH OFF AND ON.

After rebooting the Central Unit, in AC+ Server, Start the services:

Finally, in AC+ Access, go to Tools and start the Incidents Register.

Try to use the finger print and the code to open the door. It has to appear in the register.
