INTRODUCTION
A new telephonic interface has been released by FERMAX. This device Ref.4545 allows your intercom system to be connected to your telephonic line easily (PSTN or PBX) in both 4+N and VDS systems.
In this article we are going to explain the main features of this new device, comparing it with the old ones Ref.1088 and Ref.4300 and also including a quick guide to set it properly in a simple way.
NEW FEATURES
The new telephonic interface includes the following features:
OPERATING MODES
This new telephonic interface establishes two different operating modes depending on the system used:
Single Call Mode (SCM). The telephonic interface acts as a terminal which answers only to a corresponding call from the outdoor panel. One device needed per apartment.
Call divert function: The internal telephones will ring during a selectable period of time (time delay). In case of no response after that time the call will be diverted to the first telephone in set in the agenda. In case this first does not answer, we can set a second one to divert again this incoming call.
AVAILABILITY: 4+N and VDS systems
Multi-Call Mode (MCM): The telephonic interface acts as a gateway between a VDS system and a telephonic system (PBX or PSTN). It translates VDS calls into telephone numbers or extensions in a PBX. Therefore, we cannot connect VDS terminals in to this device in this mode.
NOTE: In this mode, internal telephones are used only for external incoming calls and programming
Call divert function: In this case, the call would be diverted to the telephone set in the position 0 of the main agenda. Useful for diverting all calls to the same telephone number.
AVAILABILITY: Only VDS systems
