First entry system

Launch of “Fonoporta”, an electronic intercom for buildings, considered the first electronic entry system from Fermax, the first of its kind designed in Spain and for years, the only one.

Generalization

Generalization

Intercom entry became widespread throughout Spain. One example is the Series 24 intercom panel, in 4mm aluminium with high powered amplifying circuit, auto-regulated, flush-fit box and pushbuttons with card slot. Fermax starts to export.

Ramón Benedito

Barcelona 1945. National Design Award. Outstanding designer of industrial products and consumer goods in the fields of electronics, IT or scientific and technical instruments. He has worked for companies such as Vieta, Balay, Indo, Carlsberg, Compak, Fujitsu, Grok, Henkel, Rank Xerox, Renfe, Repsol, Roca and Volpak.

T-1 Telephone

Ramón Benedito designed his first product for Fermax: The T-1 wall telephone. Until 87, around 4,500,000 units were manufactured, with one on display at the Reina Sofía museum as the benchmark in Spanish design of the 70s.

The Fermax videophone came out, the first Spanish video entry system. World-wide patented invention of digital video entry system, designed for residential complexes. Fermax starts to make inroads in the international markets.

Flush-fit monitor, manufactured in high-impact ABS plastic, curly cable with vandal-proof grip, extendible up to 0.50m. With 5’ anti-reflection screen and automatic on switch. Very well accepted in the markets.

A new generation of video entry systems came in, providing colour images and the first prototypes to include security and telecommunications concepts. The 1st monitor in this series was called Citymax.

Fermax launches Cityline. Ramón Benedito’s design was to revolutionize the market as the first electronic door phone panel to use a curved-convex aluminium profile. Installed in more than 1,500,000 buildings, it would also be acknowledged in 1991 with the Valencia Award for Innovation in Industrial Design.

MDS is a Digital video entry system aimed at buildings and residential complexes with several entrance points. MDS is the first ever electronic door entry system with electronic directory and wiring simplification.

The company presents its new Loft monitor for surface installation, the first product designed to be manufactured by robotic production lines, to be made in high-impact ABS plastic, with textured easy-clean finish and ultraviolet protection. In time, it would become the top-selling video entry system.
